The Fireservice Story
In 1971, the husband-and-wife team of William and Martha Maute founded a modest janitorial company. With a heart for service, they concentrated on doing whatever it took to help people in need. Over time, they expanded into insurance restoration work, mostly related to fire damage, and so rebranded their ever-growing company as Fireservice.
Much has changed over the 50 years that Fireservice Emergency Disaster Response has been meeting the needs of our community. Still family-owned and operated, our company has grown from a dedicated duo into a 120-person enterprise with 70 trucks on the road at any given time. We have added service lines and expanded our service area from Marco Island to Sarasota. We continue to invest in our people and our property.
We invest in our Southwest Florida community too. You’ll find members of our emergency disaster response team presenting informational seminars, sitting on boards of directors, participating in community events, and otherwise engaging the residents of Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, DeSoto, Glades, and Sarasota counties.

The Fireservice Difference

Servant-minded Leadership
What hasn’t changed is the heart of Fireservice — which is rooted and grounded in compassionate service to those in need. Everyone who represents Fireservice, from the executives in the office to the crews in the field, is committed to the spirit with which our company was founded. That’s what makes Fireservice Emergency Disaster Response different.

Sincere Customer Service
Every company claims to offer the best customer service. Fireservice really does. When you call Fireservice, your call is answered by a real person, a member of the Fireservice team. We are all voice, all the time. No automated dialing system, no impersonal answering service. No frustration in choosing an option from a menu. We want you to know we care about you and the situation you are facing. We work with your insurance company for your benefit. We do not pursue or accept assignment of benefits.

Speedy, Compassionate Emergency Disaster Response
Our emergency disaster response crews are exactly that — teams dedicated only to emergencies, readily available 24/7. They are not crews that pull double duty for emergency calls. We have 20 trucks on standby, equipped for emergencies. Combined with our personal response system, this means we have our crews on the road to you within 3 — 5 minutes. Yes, it costs us money to do business this way, but we know that your emergency is costing you — financially and emotionally. We want to be there when you need us, not when it’s convenient for us.
